Inhabited originally by the Tupinambas Indians Ilhabela was at first known as Ciribai.

In 1502 the Italian navigator and adventurer Amerigo Vespucci was the first European to arrive at the Island.

Half a milleniun later Pasta del Capitano is proud to renew the connection between Italy and Ilhabela.

Capitano was born from a love of cooking, of eating, of drinking and being with friends. A love of Italy and of Ilhabela.

As well as being creative cooking is a way of showing affection and passion to the customers in their emotive environment.
